Overview

Data Connections is the infrastructure layer that feeds your three pillars with external data. Connect to platforms like Google Drive, Confluence, SharePoint, and more — or upload files directly. Once connected, your data powers AI Workspace conversations, AI Box automations, and Knowledge Brain learning.

Two Types of Connections

File Upload

Upload files directly from your computer. Always free, available on all plans. Documents are immediately processed for AI use.

External Source

Connect to external platforms via pre-built connectors. Supports Google Drive, Confluence, SharePoint, Jira, GitHub, and hundreds more.

How It Works

The system uses a three-tier architecture:
1

Discover a Connector

Browse the connector catalog to find your data source. Each connector is a blueprint for how to connect to a specific platform.
2

Create a Connection

Configure the connector with your credentials (OAuth or API key). This creates a live data pipeline between the external source and Mnemetic.
3

Link to Teamspaces

Link your connection to one or more teamspaces. The AI in those teamspaces can now answer questions using the connected data.

Connection Lifecycle

Connections go through these states:

Plan Limits

Starter plan users can purchase additional connectors as an add-on. See Credits & Usage for details.

How Data Connections Powers the Three Pillars

For connecting external apps (Gmail, Slack, CRMs) to AI Boxes, see Connected Apps. Data Connections handles documents and data; Connected Apps handles application integrations.
